A Christmas Note From Our Director

Christmas 2018 is upon us.

Once again we take time to look at the past year with reflection, and look ahead to 2019 filled with anticipation and excitement.

As I was listening to carols this season, doing the annual baking;  Casting Crowns came on with their rendition of “I Heard The Bells on Christmas Day”.  The words of this old hymn always fill me with a renewed sense of hope.  The song is based on the poem “Christmas Bells” written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

It is easy to despair when we look around and see senseless acts of violence around us. Christmas reminds us that there is hope and that God prevails.  He sent us Jesus to save the world, so that we can experience true peace.  The words from this great hymn echo these thoughts……

Then rang the bells more loud and deep
God is not dead, nor doth He sleep (Peace on Earth, peace on Earth)
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men
Then ringing singing on its way

Do you hear the bells they’re ringing? (Peace on Earth)
The life the angels singing (Peace on Earth)
Open up your heart and hear them (Peace on Earth)
Peace on earth, good will to men.

My prayer for us all in this new year remains the same….that we allow the Holy Spirit to renew in us the purpose brought to us by the birth of our Savior, Jesus. From the staff and our board we wish you the Merriest and most blessed Christmas and peace in 2019. God bless and thank you for continuing to support Kingdom Bound Ministries. We are excited for all the future holds.
